Sergeant Cork is a British detective television series which first aired between 1963 and 1968 on ATV. It was a police procedural show that followed the efforts of two police officers and their battle against crime in Victorian London. In all 66 hour-long episodes were aired during the five year run. It has been credited as a first example of the use of the Victorian-era policeman in a television crime series. A 1969 review in The Age opined that rather than suspense, the strengths of the series were its "[e]xcellent period settings and wonderfully thick pea-soupers" which "add up to splendid evocative stuff", as well as the performance of star John Barrie.

The drama tells the story of several policewomen of the Hong Kong Police Force, using their perspectives to look at issues of modern women experience in society. Sergeant Tabloid first aired on TVB's overseas affiliates and partners from 2 to 27 April 2012. The first episode will premiere on Hong Kong's Jade and HD Jade channels on 11 March 2013. Sergeant Tabloid has been well received by overseas viewers, and TVB has plans to produce a sequel.
Combat Sergeant is an American television program that originally aired on ABC from June to September 1956. Starring Michael Thomas as Sergeant Nelson, the series was set in Africa during World War II. Actual footage of the war was spliced into episodes. 13 episodes were filmed. Combat Sergeant was produced by National Telefilm Associates, and had originally been intended as a first-run syndicated program; it was offered to individual television stations in March 1956, but saw no sales. The series was offered to ABC, which purchased the program. After a brief summer run on ABC in 1956, the series was rerun on the syndicated NTA Film Network starting in summer 1957.
