Mot i Brøstet is a Norwegian situation comedy created by Tore Ryen. It originally aired on TV 2 from 22 January 1993 to 8 December 1997 and has since aired in reruns on various TV2 channels. It was the commercial Norwegian sitcom, and remains popular with fans, even fifteen years after its end. It was released on DVD in 2007. A spin-off, Karl & Co, aired on TV 2 for three seasons from 1998 to 2001, spawning a total of 63 episodes. Another spin-off, Karl III, aired on TV 2 in 2009, but was cancelled after only 12 episodes due to negative reviews.
The Last Place on Earth is a 1985 Central Television seven part serial, written by Trevor Griffiths based on the book Scott and Amundsen by Roland Huntford. The book is an exploration of the expeditions of Captain Robert F. Scott and his Norwegian rival in polar exploration, Roald Amundsen in their attempts to reach the South Pole. The series ran for seven episodes and starred a wide range of UK and Norwegian character actors as well as featuring some famous names, such as Max von Sydow, Richard Wilson, Sylvester McCoy and Pat Roach. It also featured performances early in their careers by Bill Nighy and Hugh Grant. Subsequently Huntford's book was republished under the same name. The book put forth the point of view that Amundsen's success in reaching the South Pole was abetted by much superior planning, whereas errors by Scott ultimately resulted in the death of him and his companions.

In order to voyage through time and space, Mot simply has to find a door opening onto a tiny space equipped with a movable panel, and he arrives unexpectedly in his friend Leo's room via the wardrobe door. The show ran from 1996 to 1997 and was rebroadcast in the US, France and Australia throughout the '90s.

Alla mot en was a Swedish game show that aired for two seasons on TV4, based on the Endemol format 1 vs. 100. It was based on one person competing against 100 audience members for a cash prize. In January 2004, TV4 moved the long-running Bingolotto from the Saturday slot it had occupied since 1991 to early Saturday evening. The early Saturday evening would then be used for Alla mot en. The first season, the show was also affiliated with Bingolotto, meaning that the 100 competing audience members were selected through the Bingolotto lottery and they would also win several prices such as cars and travels. The second season, the show was affiliated with Sverigelotten, a part of Bingolotto.
