The film relates the story of Gilbert Willoughby, who, exasperated by his stubborn boxspring mattress, imprudently wishes for the disappearance of springs. Coily, the animated spring sprite, grants his wish, and Gilbert is bedeviled by once-familar appliances that no longer function. Apolo­gizing to Coily, Gilbert acknowledges the contribution of springs to daily life, especially in the Chevrolet.

California Fever is an American teen drama series that ran on CBS in 1979. The show featured a group of Los Angeles teenagers living an exotic life of disco, the beach, the opposite sex and music. The series was short-lived, lasting only 10 episodes. Prior to the first episode, the show was to initially be called "We're Cruising."

Co-Ed Fever 1979

Co-Ed Fever is an American sitcom that aired on CBS in 1979. The series attempted to capitalize on the success of the motion picture National Lampoon's Animal House. It was the third of three "frat house" comedy series to air in early 1979. CBS cancelled Co-Ed Fever after only one episode, and all three series were off the air by the end of April 1979. The series was so low rated it never made it to its regular time slot, Monday night, instead having aired as a "special preview" the night before. In 2002, Co-Ed Fever ranked number 32 on TV Guide's 50 Worst Shows of All Time list.

Battle Fever J is a live-action Japanese TV series. The third entry of the Super Sentai series franchise, Battle Fever J was co-produced by Toei Company and TV Asahi. A total of 52 episodes aired on TV Asahi between February 3, 1979 and January 26, 1980. The team have codenames named for countries around the world, also respectively named in their theme song: Battle France, Battle Cossack, Battle Kenya, Miss America and Battle Japan. It was also the first series in the Super Sentai franchise where the heroes must control giant robots to defeat a monster who itself has grown to a gigantic size. Toei's Tokusatsu adaptation of Spider-Man was the first to introduce this format and was also the inspiration for this series. The series was also partially inspired by the Marvel Comics character Captain America. Battle Fever J was the first series to use the term Super Sentai until Toei announced in 1995 that its predecessors Himitsu Sentai Gorenger and J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai were also part of the Super Sentai series, when Chōriki Sentai Ohranger was announced as the 19th Super Sentai team.

Dance Fever

Dance Fever is an American variety game show hosted by Eric Nies. The three celebrity judges were Carmen Electra, Jamie King, and MC Hammer. The two-hour series premiere aired on ABC Family on July 13, 2003. In Canada, MuchMusic had the rights to air the series. Dance Fever also aired on Family the same day as the ABC Family airings, becoming the only program on the channel to take commercial breaks during the show. Three years later, tapdancing twins Sean and John became contestants on NBC's America's Got Talent. They did not make it to the finals, but were highly praised. Live in Color, a hip-hop booty-shaking dance crew from Florida, were the first and the only winner since the series did not continue.

Gold Fever 2000

Gold Fever was the name of a BBC documentary, shown in August 2000, which followed Steve Redgrave and his British rowing coxless four teammates Matthew Pinsent, Tim Foster and James Cracknell in the years leading up to the Sydney Olympics, where Redgrave was looking to claim his fifth consecutive gold medal. The 3-part series included video diaries recording the highs and lows in the quest for gold. Among these were Redgrave being diagnosed with diabetes, and Foster possibly losing his spot on the team after injuring his hand punching a window at a party, and later undergoing back surgery that required additional months of recovery time. Coach Jurgen Grobler was also featured in the programme. A follow-up documentary programme entitled The Rowers Return was produced in the aftermath of the Sydney Olympics. The title was part-reference to a fictional public house, The Rovers Return, a venue in the long-running British soap opera Coronation Street. The documentary detailed the crew's return to the UK and completed the Gold Fever story.

Night Fever 1997

Night Fever was a karaoke style show airing in the United Kingdom on Channel 5 from 5 April 1997 to 30 March 2002. It was hosted by Suggs and in the early series, he was helped by 'The Big Guy in the Sky' - a disembodied voice giving the scores, and later by 'Wolfie' - John Ireland dressed as Mozart. Later series were co-hosted by Will Mellor and Sarah Cawood replaced later by Kieron Elliott and Danielle Nicholls. The programme often had themed shows such as Valentine's Day. Also, Suggs was helped by Pop Monkey who supposedly gave Suggs the choices of songs.

Cabin Fever

Cabin Fever is an RTÉ reality TV show which was meant to have been broadcast over eight weeks starting on 3 June 2003. Disaster struck however two weeks into the broadcast when, on Friday 13 June 2003, the ship ran aground off Tory Island off the north-west coast near County Donegal. Cabin Fever consisted of a group of eleven contestants chosen specially for the show, most of whom had no sailing experience, who were to be put on the 27.4 metre, two-masted schooner with a professional crew of two. The wind-powered sailing ship would then sail around the Irish coast. Each week one contestant was scheduled to quite literally "walk the plank" after being voted off the ship by TV viewers. The final surviving contestant was to be considered the winner and would receive €100,000. The show was named after cabin fever, the claustrophobic reaction that takes place when a person or group is isolated and/or shut in a small space, with nothing to do, for an extended period.

Maui Fever 2007

Maui Fever is an American reality television series on MTV. The series debuted on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 10:30PM on MTV. The series reveals the daily lives of several young haole friends living in the Kaanapali area on the island of Maui. Following the style of MTV's Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, The Hills and 8th & Ocean, Maui Fever was shot as a "reality drama". Maui Fever cast members never spoke directly to the camera or gave testimonials, a tactic used in MTV's The Real World and in traditional documentaries. However, a voice-over narrative spoken by Cheyne Magnusson, one of the main characters, was used at the beginning of each episode to set up the scene and tie together storylines. The opening credits of Maui Fever featured the song, "Horndog" by Overseer.

Dance Fever 1979

Dance Fever is an American musical variety series that aired weekly in syndication from January 1979 to September 1987. The series was created and produced by Merv Griffin and written by Tony Garofalo. Deney Terrio hosted the series until September 1985, where he was replaced by Adrian Zmed. The show's announcer for the first two years was Freeman King until September 1980 where he was replaced by Charlie O'Donnell. During Terrio's tenure as host, the show's theme was performed by a musical team called Triple "S" Connection.

Soap Fever

Soap Fever is a British television Entertainment programme on ITV2 presented by Liza Tarbuck, Denise Welch, Emma Kennedy, Jordan Davies Jenny Powell and towards the end of its run Fiona Phillips and Penny Smith. Each week the show would feature soap recaps and previews, news, competitions plus each week an exclusive interview with a top soap star or stars. The show was broadcast on Sunday nights usually at 6:30pm.It was written by Karl Lucas who also co-starred on the show and presented features.

White Line Fever

White Line Fever was an Australian Football League-related television show, airing from 2000 to 2006 during the regular football season. It was based on a talkback radio format, airing live weeknightly at 7.30pm AEST on the Fox Footy Channel on the Foxtel, Austar and Optus pay television networks. Hosted by Clinton Grybas, it allowed fans and viewers to call into the live shows and share their thoughts with regular guest panelists including Tony Shaw, Terry Wallace, Rodney Eade, Derek Humphrey-Smith and Mike Sheahan, along with guest players from AFL teams. The show was unique for its viewer interaction and comprehensive analysis of Australian rules football. The show made frequent use of live crosses to notable events such as press conferences and AFL Tribunal hearings. The show commenced in 2000 in a half-hour format from 8pm AEST following the half-hour Fox Footy News, but was expanded to a full hour from 7.30pm AEST in 2003, subsuming the news program as a ten-minute introductory segment presented by Tiffany Cherry. In 2005 the Friday night edition moved to a non-live format, allowing Grybas to front the show without intruding on his football calling duties with radio station 3AW. This edition of the show was rebadged as Friday Night Fever, although still appears as White Line Fever in listings.
