Renovation Rescue is an Australian TV show capitalising on Australia's love affair with home renovation. It's the same idea of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, but with a few differences: ⁕The renovation only takes two days, not a full week. ⁕Instead of waking up the family by bellowing through a megaphone, they simply knock on the door. ⁕No bus covers the house when the family returns home. ⁕There is no "secret room" in the household when under renovation. The series showed a group of people of all trades renovating a house in just two days. The show was presented by three hosts, Rebecca Harris, Scott Cam and Peter Everett. Scott would always have a celebrity apprentice in the show such as Rozz Switzer who appeared on the show's first season when they did up the house of a retired firefighter and his family.
Rescue Renovation is a television series on DIY Network hosted by Kayleen McCabe.
The Renovators is an Australian competitive reality renovation game show that premiered on Network Ten on 24 July 2011. The basic premise consists of 26 contestants who initially compete to become the head renovator of six run-down houses in the suburbs of Sydney, with challenges and eliminations taking place whilst the renovations are in progress. The last remaining contestant responsible for the property that has made the most profit when sold at auction wins the series. Network Ten announced in August 2011 that it had commissioned a second season of the series, but indicated that it would modify the program's format in order to address poor ratings, but to date no second season has been produced.
'Renovation Nation' was a green home building show starring Steve Thomas, formerly airing on the now-defunct Planet Green channel in the US. Episodes began airing 4 June 2008, and the show produced two seasons, totaling 66 episodes, before cancellation. Typically, an episode consisted of Thomas visiting homes that featured various types of green building projects, be they in new construction projects or in, as the title suggests, green renovations of older living spaces. Frequently homeowners and residences would be featured across multiple episodes, as each homeowner might have been involved in multiple projects such as alternative energy generation, energy conservation and eco-friendly construction techniques and materials.
